Terms & Conditions

 Terms & Conditions

Any Member or Parent/Guardian not adhering to these conditions may have their membership terminated

REGISTRATION, FEES AND REFUNDS

  • Annual Membership Fees are non-refundable.  Course fees are non-refundable unless there are special extenuating circumstances or if a payment has been made in error.  Please refer any queries to the office at admin@theatrepeckham.co.uk or to the Centre Manager at the Workshops.  Refunds are at our discretion.
  • Please update your account or notify Theatre Peckham of any changes to your contact details; up-to-date details are needed in case of emergency and to inform you of last-minute class or event changes.
  • Course fees are charged per term, irrespective of the number of weeks or classes in any term.  Refunds cannot be made for weeks or classes missed within a term.
  • During a term some classes may be replaced with rehearsals, coaching or performances.
  • If more than one class per term is cancelled for reasons beyond our control eg. bad weather, health and safety, or operational issues, we will endeavour to re-schedule the class, although this may not be possible.  No refunds will be made.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • Theatre Peckham accepts no liability for any injuries sustained whilst participating in Theatre Peckham courses or on the premises. Theatre Peckham will always ensure that the workshop spaces are safe and fit for purpose.
  • Theatre Peckham staff are not able to notify parents if a member is unexpectedly absent. If a young person is travelling on their own to the workshops parents can contact Theatre Peckham on the company mobile to check they have arrived.
  • Parents/Guardians are responsible for their children whilst at Theatre Peckham and must make arrangements for the end of each class, even if members are remaining at the venue for a later class. Theatre Peckham staff cannot be responsible for their supervision.
  • Children must be collected immediately after their class has finished. Failure to collect children will result in loss of membership.

TIME-KEEPING AND ATTENDANCE

  • All members must arrive punctually and be ready to go into class on time. Students who arrive more that ten minutes after the start of class may not be allowed to join the class. They may be asked instead to watch the class at the tutor’s discretion or to sit with workshop support until they are collected by a parent/guardian.
  • Members are expected to commit to and regularly attend their classes and any related rehearsals/events. If your child does not attend their class for three consecutive weeks, without notification, they may lose their place.

WORKSHOPS

  • All members must wear the required uniform and footwear for all classes (please see Uniform Guidelines for full details).
  • Placement in classes and progression of pupils is at the discretion of the tutors and/or Artistic Director.
  • No food, sweets or gum are allowed in class. Pupils may bring a bottle of water into the work space but no other drinks are allowed. Any food brought in to class will be removed for the student to reclaim after the lesson.
  • Theatre Peckham can accept no responsibility for the loss or damage of personal belongings while on the premises.
  • No mobile phones, cameras, ipods, personal stereos or hand-held computer games are allowed in class. These may be handed to the Centre Manager at the beginning of class for safe keeping.
  • Parents/Guardians are not permitted to watch classes unless asked to by a staff member or tutor.
  • Theatre Peckham will on occasion film or photograph members participating in workshops or productions. These images will be used for the promotion and publicity of Theatre Peckham’s activities and Theatre Peckham’s website. By agreeing to our terms and conditions you consent to the taking and use of these images.

BEHAVIOUR

  • Racist, sexist and other offensive language and behaviour is not tolerated at Theatre Peckham. Where incidences of unacceptable behaviour do occur, by either child or parent, Theatre Peckham reserves the right to terminate membership without notice, the final decision being undertaken by the management committee. There will be no refund given as a result of these actions.
  • Pupils who regularly disrupt class will be issued with two verbal warnings by the workshop tutors. A third warning will mean missing the rest of the class. The parents may then be called in to discuss the child’s behaviour. If there is no improvement a warning letter will be issued, and if no serious extenuating circumstances can be found, the child will be asked to leave Theatre Peckham.
  • Parents are encouraged to discuss any concerns or complaints with the Centre Manager, who will direct them according to our Customer Care Policy. Parents who are rude to Theatre Peckham staff, disrupt classes, cause disturbances, or wilfully obstruct the enforcement of these Conditions of Membership may cause their child to have their membership terminated.
